Gun Salutes are fired in London by The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, usually in Hyde Park or Green Park. A 41 Gun Royal Salute is fired in Hyde Park at 12.00 midday on the following dates and occasions:
6 February - Accession Day.
21 April - Birthday of HM The Queen.
2 June - Coronation Day. (Fired in Green Park if the date falls on the Queen’s Birthday Parade – The Trooping of The Colour).
10 June - Birthday of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. (Fired in Green Park if the date falls on the Queen’s Birthday Parade).
If any of these occasions fall on a Sunday, the Salutes are fired on the following day as no Royal Gun Salutes are fired on Sundays.

June - On the Official Birthday of HM The Queen a 41 Gun Royal Gun Salute is fired in Green Park at 11 o'clock.
Apr/Jul/Nov - For London State Visits a 41 Gun Royal Salute is fired in Green Park. If the State Visit is held in Windsor a 21 Gun Royal Salute is fired in the Windsor Home Park (Private). Timings for these Gun Salutes vary.
Nov/Dec - For the State Opening of Parliament a 41 Gun Royal Salute is fired in Green Park at 8 minutes past 11.
November - On Remembrance Sunday a 2 Gun Salute is fired on Horse Guards Parade (One at the start of the 2 minutes silence at 11 o'clock and one at the end at 2 minutes past 11).
